On Tuesday, June 30, the Corpus Christi City Council will vote on Agenda Item #21, authorizing staff to apply for up to $120 million in federal grant funding from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for the Inner Harbor Desalination Project.
Here’s what this vote means:
- It does not approve construction.
- It does allow Corpus Christi to compete for federal funding that could significantly reduce costs for local ratepayers.
If we don’t apply, we can’t receive the funding.
Contact your City Council member today and ask them to vote YES on Agenda Item #21.
